Hitting Jack-It™ at NFCA 2011 National Convention with Lisa Fernandez
November 30, 2011It’s a busy week for the Estrada Beisbol team. Three-time Olympic gold medalist Lisa Fernandez was named to the role of Fast Pitch Softball Advisor for the company.
And to launch the Hitting Jack-It™ System into the fastpitch market, the team is assembled at The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) 2011 National Convention, Bally’s Las Vegas, Booth #342/#243.

Fernandez, 40, is currently an assistant coach for the women’s softball team at UCLA. A right-handed fastpitch pitcher, Fernandez played competitively on gold medal winning U.S. Women’s Olympic softball teams in 1996, 2000 and 2004 and established an Olympic record in softball with 25 strikeouts in a single game.
Fastpitch
Fastpitch is a form of softball in which pitchers throw the ball with an underhand motion at speeds up to 75 miles per hour for women and up to 100 miles per hour for men, with the distance between the pitcher and batter 40 to 43 feet. Fastpitch, considered the most competitive form of softball, is the game that was played at the Olympic Games in 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008. The fastpitch style is also used in college softball and international competition.
The number of Division I college softball teams in the U.S. grew from 222 in 1997 to 277 in 2007. The number of youth teams also increased from 73,567 in 1995 to 86,049 in 2007.
The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) youth program, also known as the Junior Olympic program, is among the nation’s largest youth sports organization. More than 80,000 teams, 1.3 million players and 300,000 coaches participate in ASA youth softball on an annual basis.
